Derek Thomas MP has been supporting Alzheimer’s Research UK to raise awareness of the disease, and prompt urgent action to tackle the increasing pressure that it places on society, health and care services, and the economy.

Many good things are initiated in Cornwall (I like to think West Cornwall) and the Ronnie Williams Memorial Charity is one such example. I knew Ronnie as his daughter was closely involved in youthwork I used to lead in Penzance.

The situation in Gaza is terrifying and, whilst I support Israel’s need to flush out and crush Hamas, a way must be made possible to ensure humanitarian aid gets in safely and those needing urgent medical care get out.
