The St Piran’s Day Parade

The St Piran’s Day parade, that takes place every year in Penzance, is always well supported and this year was no exception.

The weather was generally kind and the children seemed to enjoy the event. It’s good to celebrate our Cornish heritage and to walk through some of our hidden streets and through Morrab Gardens, one of our great treasures.

Penzance looked in good shape and there is an opportunity on Sunday March 13th to make the town look even better with the ‘Clean for the Queen’ project to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Anyone who can spare the morning is welcome to join Jess Golding and her team of volunteers at 10.30am at Penlee Coach House in Penlee Park with your gloves and any gardening equipment you think is necessary.

‘Clean for The Queen’ is a campaign launched by Country Life magazine in partnership with Keep Britain Tidy.
