The Brussels Attacks

The Secretary of State for the Home Office, Theresa May united the House today with her statement following the atrocities carried out by terrorists in Belgium.

34 people have been killed with over 200 injured in attacks that are completely inexcusable and, although those who have lost loved ones, those injured and those who were caught up in the attacks will live with this for the rest of their lives, these attacks increase further our resolve to beat terrorists and their brutality.

Our border force, police, intelligence service and armed forces do an incredible job keeping us safe and Theresa May has said we should be alert not alarmed as we go about our daily lives.
Last week MPs voted to give new powers to our security and intelligence services and police to keep us safe in a digital age.
