Today I started at my home village church fete and then a quick hello to the Western Hunt at their meet in the village square. I then drove across to the Godolphin Arms Hotel in Marazion, joined in the RNLI fundraiser, was entertained by ‘Robin’ the auctioneer and then hosted my last ‘drop-in’ surgery before Christmas at the hotel.
I then visited Helston Bowling Club to take a look at plans of the proposed improvement works on the site of the Grylls Monument and proposed new clubhouse and public toilets.
I completed my day by visiting shop keepers in Helston and holding further surgeries in my Penzance office.
Last night I was a panel member at a very lively debate about the EU in/out referendum organised by UKIP and attended the charity auction at the Queen’s Hotel raising over £13k for Refugee Aid.
