Derek asks a PMQ

Last week, West Cornwall MP Derek Thomas  pressed the Prime Minister to say how the Government intends to work in the future to fight brain tumours, the UK’s biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40.

Mr Thomas, who chairs the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Brain Tumours, used the fact that March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month to question Mrs May at Prime Minister’s Questions.

Mr Thomas said there had been great progress over the past month, with Government turning its attention to this underfunded disease by announcing a £20 million boost in funding to which Cancer Research would be adding a further £25 million.

However he asked the Prime Minister to make a statement about how the Government is going to see the job through until we have the research, care and cure so many people need?
